Do Not Include Buyer's Name When Reporting to MLS

The NHAR Board of Directors recently approved the following special notice for distribution to all New Hampshire REALTORS®:

The New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® (NHAR) advises against including the buyer’s name in the Northern New England Real Estate Network (NNEREN) multiple listing service when reporting sales. 

This is Prohibited Conduct under the New Hampshire Real Estate Practice Act (331-A:26) unless express written permission is provided by the buyer:

331-A:26 XXXVIII. Submitting a property owner's name to any electronic database or multiple listing service that may be accessed by any other person other than the property owner's broker without the express written permission of the property owner.
