NH REALTORS Donate to Japan Relief Fund

March 22, 2011

On behalf of the New Hampshire Realtor community, the directors of the NH Realtors Disaster Assistance Foundation ("NHRDAF") have made a $1,000 contribution to relief efforts in Japan, NHRDAF President Laura Hallahan announced this week.

The New Hampshire contribution was made to AmeriCares, one of four funds the National Association of Realtors has identified as being best equipped to provide disaster-relief services to Japan following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

NAR is encouraging each of its more than 1 million members to support any of those funds as well, and Laura Hallahan and New Hampshire Association of Realtors President Tom Riley echo that calling.

“Every contribution is meaningful," said Hallahan.  "Regardless of the amount, the need for assistance will continue, and our contributions will help with the humanitarian aid desperately needed following the tragic events of the last two weeks."

"Realtors have always come forward to help whenever and wherever we can," said Riley.  "I urge each of our members to make a contribution to any one of the charitable organizations that are helping the people of Japan.”
