HAMPTON — Barbara J. Heath, 73, of Hampton died Aug. 15, 2009, at Clipper Harbor of Portsmouth, with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Fall River, Mass., Sept. 26, 1935, the daughter of the late George A. and Olympia (Watson) Keys.
She was raised in Fall River and was a graduate of Fall River High School with the class of 1952, and Dean College in 1955.
She was a loving and caring wife and mother. Her family was always the most important aspect of her life, and she loved spending time with them whenever possible. She was also very passionate in her career as a REALTOR® and worked tirelessly throughout the Seacoast for Joycelyn Caulfield, Heinemann and Coldwell Banker real estate companies. She was also a former member of the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission.
She had resided in Hampton since 1966, coming from Plaistow and West Palm Beach, Fla.
She shared 42 years of marriage with Richard T. "Dick" Heath, who died in 1999.
Family members include three sons, Bradley T. Heath, Gregory A. Heath and David S. Heath.
Family members also include daughters-in-law, Margaret Heath and Bonnie Heath; Dan Kertanis, her son David's partner; a brother-in-law, John W. "Jack" Heath and his wife, Ingrid; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Samantha and Amber, all of Hampton; her father-in-law, Gordon T. Heath of Exeter; and a niece, Cindy Billen and her husband, John, of Vermont. She also leaves her beloved coon cats, Abby and Brandy.
Calling hours are Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. The service is Friday at 11 a.m. in United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Interment will be private. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
