Greg Barrett 

The Hillsborough County Department of Corrections Thresholds Porgam at Valley Street Jail teaches inmates skills on how to solve problems and make good decisions. It comprises a weekly two-hour session and one-to-one counseling for 12 weeks, at which time each inmate receives a Certificate of Completion at a graduation ceremony. The teachers and volunteers are invaluable in making this program successful. Since 1994, the program has graduated hundreds of inmates from HCDC, thanks to the dedication of its volunteers.

The Andover Rescue Squad provides prehospital emergency medical services to the town of Andover, its residents, guests, visitors and those traveling through.

The Henniker Youth Hockey Association, Inc. (HYHA) was founded and incorporated as a non-profit corporation in April 1991.  HYHA offers programs from learn-to-skate to competitive hockey. Our home ice arena is the Lee Clement Arena, located on the New England College campus in Henniker, NH.


Joanne Buck

TEAM Jaffrey is a non profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Jaffrey's downtown community. It is supported by contributions from the citizens and businesses.  Throughout the year TEAM Jaffrey works on downtown promotions and events which brings creativity and family fun to the Main Street. All of these events are run by volunteers.


Barbara J. Carbee

The Francestown Improvement & Historical Society was founded in 1911 with the principal objective of promoting “an interest among the people toward the improving and beautifying of the town.” In addition to the visible signs you will see throughout the town — seasonal plantings, Main Street benches and the recreation fields — FIHS makes annual contributions to a wide variety of organizations and projects.


Christine Corey

The Free School Breakfast Program at Trinity Church in Claremont provides free breakfasts to needy children in the Claremont area.  The program works with a local butcher to allow the church to order portions of the meals, which provides for nearly 80 children.

The Salem Association for Retarded Citizens is dedicated to advocating for the needs of the developmentally disabled to reach their greatest potential and improve their quality of life.


Bert Cox

The New Hampshire Real Estate Investors Association, based in Manchester, is dedicated to education and networking for Real Estate Investors in New Hampshire.


David Criswell

Habitat for Humanity International brings families and communities in need together with volunteers and resources to build decent, affordable homes for those who need it.  Since 1976, Habitat has built more than 100,000 houses in more than 80 countries, including some 30,000 houses across the United States. In 12 years, the Southeast New Hampshire affiliate has completed twelve homes in Dover, Gonic, Northwood, Rochester, Somersworth and Farmington.


Cathy Cullinane

The Environmental Learning for the Future (ELF) program at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science is an award-winning environmental education program designed for elementary-aged children and taught by parents and other community volunteers.  Volunteer educators gather monthly during the school day for a two-hour training workshop in which they learn activities that they later share with students. As part of each workshop, VINS helps volunteers develop teaching skills and adapt the lessons to various grade levels.

New Heights is the Seacoast’s largest, most comprehensive out-of-school program for young people between the ages of 11 to 18 (those entering sixth grade to those in 12th.) Our overarching mission is to help teens make a successful transition to adulthood. We do this by providing teens with health-related opportunities and programs that foster respect for themselves, others, and the environment.

The Amherst Junior Women's Club was formed over 40 years ago and is made up of Amherst women who plan fun community events and volunteer their time, energy and fundraising talent to civic projects, Amherst public schools, and educational enrichment. In addition, the Club is directly involved in providing food, clothing, and services to those in need in Amherst and the surrounding communities.  Membership is open to any Amherst women over age 21.

  • Home Health & Hospice Care is a not-for-profit Visiting Nurse Association and hospice with offices in Nashua and Merrimack.  The organization provides home health services to the elderly, the acute and chronically ill, children, newborns, and the dying in the comfort and security of the individual's home.
  • The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Rick Hagan

The Lakes Region Consumer Advisory Board is a nonprofit peer support mental health organization that works with individuals in the Lakes Region community.


Sandra Hahn

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary was established by Congress in 1939 to assist the Coast Guard in promoting boating safety. It includes more than 30,000 members from all walks of life who receive special training so that they may be a functional part of Coast Guard Forces.


Elise Harnisch

The mission of the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County in Manchester is to serve and protect the abused child and to strengthen families and the local community through the collaborateive actions of a multi-disciplinary team of community professionals in law enforcement, prosecution, victim advocacy, child protection, health care and education.  The use of Child Advocacy Centers nationwide has increased prosecution rates of abusers by approximately 40 percent.

As New Hampshire's only children's hospital, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD) provides an extended system of care that offers advanced clinical services for children. CHaD is committed to providing outstanding compassionate care for children and their families. Our physician expertise provides primary, specialty, and tertiary care to the children of New Hampshire, Vermont, and beyond. We see children for everything from well-care visits to the most complex childhood diseases.

Art-Speak was created as a direct result of the Portsmouth Cultural Plan. Art-Speak exists officially on behalf of the City to represent and promote arts and culture, and to act on all related matters.  Its mission is to promote appreciation, awareness, participation, and dialogue in support of arts and culture. Art-Speak performs these services for the City of Portsmouth and its City Council and all artists and art/cultural-related organizations in the Seacoast community.

Caregivers of Wolfeboro provides short-term, non-emergency volunteer services, including local transportation for medical treatment and friendly visits to elderly and disabled.


Howard Kagen

The Salvation Army (Derry):  In 1865, William Booth, an ordained Methodist minister, aided by his wife Catherine, formed an evangelical group dedicated to preaching among the “unchurched” people living in the midst of appalling poverty in London’s East End.  In addition to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, Booth became involved in the feeding and shelter of the hungry and homeless and in rehabilitation of alcoholics.  The Salvation Amy has functioned successfully for more than a century. As of 2005, its outreach has been expanded to include more than 100 countries, and the Gospel is preached by its officers in more than 160 languages.

The principal activities of Laconia Area Land Trust (LACLT) are affordable housing development and property and asset management. LACLT acquires property through gift or purchase. Typically the properties are multi-family homes in need of extensive renovations. The land is committed to trust, and the buildings are renovated and brought to a safe, good quality standard – a standard which is then maintained by LACLT's asset and property management team. Units are rented to low and moderate income families at a rate below market.

  • One More Referral Networking provides a place for business professionals to develop personal relationships with other qualified professionals. It is an environment for building trust and confidence in people and their businesses, and become comfortable referring one another.


Jerry Love

Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches across the United States and in over 65 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models.  Boys are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based weekly program.  Further, the boys increase their physical prowess by participation in age-specific activities and recreation.  Finally, they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related activities to develop their social skills and awareness.

Great Waters Music Festival is a nonprofit organization dedicated to culturally enriching New Hampshire's Lakes Region with concerts held on the Brewster Academy campus in Wolfeboro.  The summer festival was organized in 1995 to encompass a diversified program designed to appeal to a variety of musical tastes, both classical and popular, and to bring together outstanding amateur and professional musicians. Its purpose is to promote live musical performances including choral, symphonic, folk, pops, jazz, Broadway, dance, and renowned vocal and instrumental artists.

The Hampstead Civic Club primarily sponsors and runs sports programs for the Children of Hampstead N.H. The club also services the Community with volunteer participation in special events and programs.  The club is open to membership to all citizens of Hampstead, N.H. over the age of 18.  The club meets every fourth Monday of the Month at the Hampstead Civic Club headquarters next to the town hall in Hampstead N.H.

The Scleroderma Foundation is the national organization for people with scleroderma and their families and friends.  It was formed January 1, 1998, by a merger between the West Coast-based United Scleroderma Foundation and the East Coast-based Scleroderma Federation.


Ruthie Scott-Robson

Cross Roads House opened its doors in 1982 to assist homeless individuals and families and has since become the largest emergency and transitional shelter in New Hampshire, serving eastern New Hampshire and southern Maine.  Cross Roads houses up to 107 people on any given night, and its emergency shelter is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Cross Roads House offers food, shelter, and a proven program that helps its residents achieve their goal of independent and sustainable housing. In fact, the majority of people who have participated in the Cross Roads transitional program leave Cross Roads House for permanent housing, equipped with tangible goals and the skills to achieve them.

The Autism Society of New Hampshire is dedicated to individuals with Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD). Individuals with Autism/PDD have the right and capability to pursue happiness, make meaningful choices, and realize their full potential. In the years that the Children's Learning Centers have been actively engaged in helping children overcome the obstacles of dyslexia, thousands of dyslexic children have received free one-on-one multisensory reading and written language tutoring, and hundreds of school teachers and other individuals interested in becoming certified tutors have received training at no cost.  Additionally, the Children's Learning Centers continue to support clinical research programs that focus on dyslexia.
