Effective use of the Legal Resource Line

First, think about your subject matter and see if there is a category in place already.

If so, check to see if your question or a similar question has been asked and answered previously.

If not, think about how you can ask the question in the most straightforward and simple manner possible.  If it is an issue between agents and/or agencies and involves great detail, it is likely going to be a question the Attorney will not answer; additional resources such as the NHAR Ombuds Program may be of assistance.

Even though you may feel you have included all of the facts, you may not have and the Attorney will not be able to answer your question as presented.

If you can summarize the issue in general terms and then ask a question or questions, you have a much stronger chance of a prompt response by the Attorney.

In Summary:

  • Find a category
  • See if the question has been asked and answered
  • If not, ask a new question or questions in general terms
  • Other resources are available for issues between agents and/or agencies (see above).
